Asteroid Models is a subsidiary site of Captain Jacks Models, with a specialized focus on the gaming and collectables market - as such, matching terms apply.
Your statutary rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 apply and remain in place alongside our internal terms and conditions.
Added Specifics:
Product Delivery: Delivery information is as detailed on the Home Page of this site. Issues of postal loss are rare, however if an unsigned / untracked delivery option is chosen, losses incurred are at the buyers own risk at the discretion of CJ Models trading as Asteroid Models. It is always advised that you select the tracked delivery options via the store checkout for full product coverage. Proof of postage will be available on request for untracked items.
We pack all of our items as securely as possible using the best quality materials - we know ourselves how disappointing it can be to receive an online item that has been poorly packed and has been easily damaged in the post. For this reason, the quality of our received items is always of the highest possible standard. If for any reason beyond our control your item has suffered shipping damage or is defective in any way, please return the item to us using a tracked postal service so that we can provide either a refund or a replacement if possible.
To prevent online fraud, we can only refund / replace goods that are returned to us using a tracked delivery service, and only on receipt of the returned item. Refund and replacement of items supplied using an untracked delivery service remains at the discretion of CJ Models trading as Asteroid Models.
Safety and General Specifics:
If in any doubt as to the correct use and installation of any of our items, please contact us for advice prior to purchase, or obtain advice from a suitably qualified person. As standard, we accept no responsibility or liability for damage to items or equipment, or injury to person/s as a result of incorrect fitting or misuse of our products. All of our products are fully tested and inspected for safety prior to leaving our premises. All electronic components and circuits will contain small parts, and require installation using suitable and adequate knowledge of electronic systems. For this reason, all electronic component & bespoke circuit goods that we supply are intended for adult use only.
Age Related Products
By purchasing a specific product from us, you are acknowleding that your age is equal to or above the age rating applicable to the product. Added protection is also provided in that all of our items require a Paypal account to complete purchase, which in turn means that customers purchasing goods from this site are a minimum of 18 years of age and that the purchase has been made by the Paypal Account Holder.
Our contract of sale is with the Paypal account holder, and by purchasing from our site, you acknowledge that you are the Paypal account holder and are legally liable and responsible for the transaction.
Any customer wishing to collect an age restricted product in person must provide a valid official photocard document proving their identity and that their age is equal to, or above, the stated age restriction regulations applicable to the product/s ordered.

A. We only use the information that you enter on the customer account / order forms in the following ways:
- To notify you that your order has been received, at which stage it is in the production process, and when it has been dispatched.
- To facilitate delivery or collection of your goods.
- All information collected is the bare minimum to enable the above.
Q. Do you share my information with a third party? Is it used for any other purpose?
A. No. We never use the information in any other way other than to enable delivery or collection of your order. We will not send you any form of marketing material either electronically, through the post or via telemarketing.
All of our new product information is available via our social media links, which you may follow if you wish, for which full data regulations for the specific social media provider will apply.
We do not forward your information to any other party when used on our site.
Q. Where is my customer account information kept?
A. Account information is stored on the servers of our website host at www.create.net. Create is one of the most proactive and secure web hosts, and is a fully DPA compliant company. You may request details of their data protection policy by contacting them directly at the aforementioned web address.
Q. Can I cancel or amend my customer account information?
A. Yes of course. All accounts and order details can be amended / permanently deleted on request.
Q. Do you have access to any payment information?
A. For postal deliveries, we accept Paypal payment only which is the most secure method. This provides us only with the delivery address of the goods, the email address registered to the Paypal account, a transaction code that will be logged on both customer and recipient accounts and of course the sum that has been paid.
We do not have access to any other financial details.
Both Paypal and UK Royal Mail comply fully with all Data Protection requirements, and can be contacted for their internal data protection policies.
Q. Does this website use cookies?
A. Yes, as do the vast majority of websites. This is purely to enhance your user experience, and none of the cookie data is accessible to us.
